COLLAGES
To collage is to create new relationships.
Fragments are taken out of their original context and brought together in unexpected ways — images, paper, colour, words, textures and traces. Perhaps this fascination began in theatre, where a space, a gesture, an object or a word can suddenly become something entirely different when placed in a new context.
My analogue collages are small stages of transformation: layers meet, meanings shift, and fragments begin to tell new stories.
Like a key turning in a lock, a collage can open a different way of seeing.
